Betty H.
Dial
Dec 11, 1942 — Dec 11, 2023
Betty Hall Dial's mission began on her birthday and was achieved on her birthday when she departed this life on December 11, 2023.
Betty Hall Dial was born on December 11, 1942, to the parents of David & Mary Joe (Bell) Hall in Mt. Vernon, Texas. She attended and graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School. Mrs. Dial also attended Prairie View A&M University.
She united in holy matrimony with Willie Coy Dial on January 19, 1963, and remained committed to that union until he passed away in 2009. She worked at Raven Industries for over 30 years and loved collecting and wearing beautiful "Sunday crowns" to church, a tradition traced to Africa.
She accepted Christ early and later united with Morning Chapel Baptist Church, where she served in many areas. Her auxiliaries included a Deaconess (Vice President), Naomie Sunday School Class, Mission (2nd Vice President), Seasoned Saints, an Usher, and a Choir member.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Coy Dial; father, David Hall; mother, Mary Joe Hall; three sisters, Viola Rogers, Mildred Billups, and Diane Criddler; and two brothers, Bobby Hall and Marvin Hall.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her son Willie Tyrone Dial of Carrollton; her daughters Glenda Colette Willey of Mansfield and Chereasha Godbolt (Broderick) of Sulphur Springs; one brother, David Hall (Nora); and one sister, Sheila Hall, both of Mt Vernon, TX; ten grandchildren: Krissy, Acacia, Tylton, London, Paige, Destiny, Danielle, Ryan, Brooke, and Rylee; six great-grandchildren and two god-daughters, Cher Winkley Huff and Neeshia Owens; two sisters-in-law, Earlene Hood and Audine Turman; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
