Billy Jack Chandler of, Houston, Texas, passed away on November 21, 2020, at his home. Billy was born to the late Henry Burks and Jesse Lee Bell Chandler. He married Lona on May 13, 1974. He joined Mt. Zion CME church at an early age and attended Booker T. Washington & Mt. Vernon schools. He was a member of Galilee Baptist Church of Houston, TX under the leadership of Rev. Davis, until his death. Billy worked at Newsome Packing House until it closed. Then later he began working for ITW Insulation System, and he worked for 30 years, until his death. He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry Burks and Jesse Lee Bell Chandler; son, Lloyd "Red"; brother, Lloyd Chandler, Jr.; and one infant grandson. Billy is survived by Lona Fountain Chandler, Mother of his children, of Mount Vernon Tx; sons, Carl (Delfina) Fountain of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Billy L. Fountain Jr. of Mount Vernon, TX; sister, Doris Smith of Dallas, TX; brother, Randoulph (Janice) Chandler of Mount Vernon; a special niece, Tina Mitchell of Dallas, TX; sister-in-law Audrey Chandler of California; companion, Wilma Hunt of Houston, TX; special friends, Preston Fountain and Stephanie Eaton both of Mt. Pleasant, TX; 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
