Carl Ray Green was born on August 14, 1953, in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. He spent his early years in Mt. Pleasant, Texas alongside his mother, Zora Mae Green, and seven siblings. Carl Ray attended local schools and graduated from Mount Pleasant High School in 1971.
After completing high school, Carl Ray enlisted in the United States Army. This decision provided him with the opportunity to travel beyond his home state, including an assignment in Frankfurt, Germany. While stationed in Germany, Carl Ray met Ursula Wagner, whom he later married. Together, they built a family and had three children: Carlos, Constance, and Cassandra. During his active duty, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. He received an honorable discharge in 1976.
Following his military service, Carl Ray briefly relocated to Dallas, Texas, where he worked at Certain-Teed Products and later at The Dallas Morning News. Eventually, he returned to Mt. Pleasant, Texas, where he worked at Lowe's Home Improvement until his retirement.
Carl Ray passed away peacefully in Mt. Pleasant, Texas on August 25, 2025.

Pleasant, Texas; (sisters) Theresia Woodson of San Antonio, Texas and Laquita Lawton of Mt. Pleasant, Texas.
Carl Ray leaves to cherish his memories his children (sons) Sascha Wagner and Carlos Ramon Green, of Germany; (daughter) Constance "Connie" Mikula (Ronald Williams) of Florida; (daughter) Cassandra O'Neal of Georgia and ex-wife Ursula Green; (grandchildren) Kizhan Clarke, Devron Harris, Damaury Mikula, Jasmine Williams, Kiara O'Neal, Tierra O'Neal, Sierra-Leone O'Neal, LaMarion O'Neal, Tyra Green, Sam Green, Noah Green, Luca Kremer, Julien Wagner, Keanu Wagner and Fynn Mittag; (great-grandchild) Isabella Mikula; (brother) Elder Billy Earl (Juanita) Norman of Dallas, Texas (sister) Felecia (Michael) Matthews of Dallas, Texas; Uncle Ernest (Dena) Green of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; Aunt Bertha Hammons of Mt. Pleasant, Texas and Aunt Eartha (Albert) Pearson of Dallas, Texas; and a host of nieces and nephews and cousins.
