Carol Ann Rupe Baker, born on September 7, 1947, joined her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and her husband, William “Cliff” Baker, in Heaven on September 20, 2026, which was their 57th Wedding Anniversary.

Carol was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Pittsburg, TX, where she had many friends. She enjoyed spending time with family and had many friends from all over the US and Canada who enjoyed winters at San Juan Gardens in San Juan, TX. She retired from United American Life Insurance, Co. in 2005.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William Cleveland Rupe and Edyth Lillian Jenkins Rupe, her husband, William Clifford Baker, and two brothers,George Rupe and James Rupe.

She is survived by her son James William Baker, Daughter-in-law, Donna, her grandson, Jonah William Baker, two sisters, Dorothy Little and Barbara Young/Byars, three Sister-in-laws, Rachel Young. AnnSt. Charles, and Kathy Baker, a brother-in-law, Dean Baker, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be planned for a later date to honor both Carol and Cliff. Details have not been arranged at this time.

Her family wishes to express appreciation to Christus Health Mt. Pleasant’s 4th Floor Nursing Staff, Doctors, and Case Management team, as well as the Nurses and Staff of Cypress Basin Hospice for their devoted care during her illness and end of life care.

She is forever loved, in our memories, and will be greatly missed, but we will see her “later” when we join her in Heaven.
