Clarence Edward Young was born on June 14, 1952, to the late Henry Young and Bonnie Lawton Evans in Daingerfield, Texas. In his formative years, he was actively involved in the Faith Temple Church of God in Christ (COGIC) in Daingerfield, Texas. Clarence graduated from Daingerfield High School in 1971, where he distinguished himself through his exceptional athletic talents in football, basketball, and baseball. He pursued higher education at Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas. Following his time in college, Clarence relocated to Dallas, Texas, where he spent the majority of his life until facing health challenges. He retired after a dedicated career, first as a warehouse worker at Sears and subsequently at Big Daddy's Fast Food. He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Young; his stepfather, L.V.

Evans; one brother, Earl Evans; and his grandparents, as well as several nephews, aunts, and uncles. He is survived by his daughter, Shakedre Gilstrap; his mother, Bonnie

Evans; and three sisters, Bobbie Summers (William) and Pam Evans, both of Daingerfield, TX, and Harriet Hunter (Willie) of Lancaster, TX. He is also survived by six brothers: Dennis Evans and Marcus Evans of Daingerfield, TX; Elywin Evans of Mt. Pleasant, TX; Tony Evans (Aretha) of Dallas, TX; and Henry Young Jr. (Sonny) and William Peter Young of Wichita Falls, TX. In addition, his legacy includes one granddaughter, Shanequa Gilstrap-Edwards; one grandson, Aaron C. Lewis III; and one great grandson,

Messiah Edwards. He is also remembered by five uncles, five aunts, and a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will cherish his memory.
