Dora Lene Rockwell was born to Hosie Johnson Sr. and Rosie Ann Wilkerson on April 24, 1938 in Daingerfield, Tx. She was a member of Sheppard St. Church of Christ. She met and married Ed Jr. Rockwell and from this union four children were born. She loved her family big and her greatest joy were each and every one of us. She made sure that we knew that. She opened her home to all. She was preceded in death by her parents, one child, one grandchild; Terry Cain, three brothers; James Talton, Lawrence Johnson (Bull), Alvin Johnson (Buddy), two sisters; Bobbie Jean Johnson and Jeannie Mason. Survivors include four children; Betty Goodwyn (Louis), Don Monroe (Mable), Eddie Rockwell (Juanita), Tena McCoo (Ronnie), five brothers; Melvin Johnson, Earnest Ray Johnson (Wren), Hosie Johnson Jr. (Emma), Tommy Lee Johnson, and Alonzo Johnson Garner, four sisters; Lessie Ventry, Versie Handy, Lou Vanna Lewis (John), and Mickey Easter (James), sister-in-laws; Dorothy Barrier, Ollie Eaton, brother-in-law; Richard Rockwell (Jea), special friend; Gladys Chism, six grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
