Dr. Beverly Ann Willis, National Evangelist and native of Sulphur Springs, Texas passed away peacefully on July 17, 2020. She was born on March 1, 1947 to Marvin Allen and Mother Ophelia Allen Evans, nee Langley. She was educated in the Sulphur Springs Independent School District. Dr. Beverly Willis was a dynamic woman, anointed, appointed, and assigned by God to deliver the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the World. She committed her life to Christ and was filled with the Holy Spirit at an early age. She traveled extensively throughout the Nation carrying the Gospel message and ministering in song. As a servant of Jesus Christ, her passion was to carry out The Great Commission. She held a Bachelor's Degree in Theology, Master's degree in Ministry, and earned a Doctorate Degree in Biblical Studies. Dr. Willis, with her husband and son move to Southern California in 1967. She worked as an educator for the Lynwood Unified School District for a number of years before going into full-time ministry. She was a member of Crusaders Temple Church of God in Christ where Superintendent Robert Cole was her pastor. She was also a member of New Antioch Church of God in Christ where Superintendent Jeffrey Lewis was her pastor. Dr. Willis relocated back to Texas in 2018 and was a member of Mitchell Chapel Church of God in Christ in Sulphur Springs, Texas where Bishop Nelson J. Gatlin was her pastor. Dr. Willis received numerous appointments, awards and recognition in her service of 50+ years to the Lord and the Church. She was an extraordinarily gifted and dynamic person; highly anointed of God, a Revivalist, singer, soul-winner, and prayer warrior. Dr. Willis is preceded in death by both parents, Marvin Allen and Mother Ophelia Allen Evans; her beloved sister, Barbara Evans; her cherished son, Minister Kevin Willis. Dr. Willis leaves to cherish her memory and legacy a beloved son, Mr. Eric Willis (Keitha) of Frisco, Texas; one cherished granddaughter, Erica Willis of Frisco, TX; one loving aunt, Lillian Sims of Duncanville, TX; and numerous beloved cousins. Dr. Willis also leaves to treasure her memory spiritual mothers that spoke words of wisdom and guidance that she considered invaluable. As well as spiritual sisters and brothers that were an important part of her life. She also had many precious spiritual daughters and sons that she loved and mentored as her own.
