Obituary

On June 15, 1963, a beautiful baby boy was born to LV and Bonnie Evans, who brought so much joy to our family. Earl, who we all so graciously called Cofat loved and respected his family. He graduated from Daingerfield High School in 1982 as one of the greatest running backs, playing with his two younger brothers, cousins, and friends. After high school, he started his professional journey at the City of Daingerfield and later worked as a security guard in Dallas, Texas. Earl had an enjoyment for life. He enjoyed sports with his entire family. He was a bundle of joy and made everyone he encountered feel special. Cofat Always have time to talk and share with everyone. He was known for his fantastic BBQ, Oxtails and other amazing dishes. Earl was a sportsman; you can always find him watching or talking about sports. When his children and grandchildren were involved in sporting activities it always brought a smile to his face just as it did when he accepted Christ as his Lord and savior. Earl was a proud father of eight successful children. On July 29, 2022, Earl ganged his wings to rest from the cares of this life in the comfort of his home. He was preceded in death by his brother Lawrence Evans Jr his grandparents, Leon and Edna Lawton, and HV and Sarah Evans. He leaves to cherish his memories, his parent, LV and Bonnie Evans. His children Marcello Peters of Addison, Texas, Ashley Peters-Bennett of Garland, Texas, Porschia Peters and Chavius-Chad Peters of Daingerfield, Texas, Kendra (Trevion)Fluellen of Pittsburg, Texas Jalissia Williams of Corsicana Texas. Nautica Evans and Jase Hall of Dallas, Texas. He raised Jaqunette Hall, also of Dallas, Texas. Eleven grandchildren, Makhi, Kingsley, Chrishlyn, Kaylee, Cylan, Kingston, Makhel, Desmond, Diezel, Julianna and Azarye. One bonus grandchild Ke'Terrian (Pooda) Lee. Five brothers, Clarence Young, Dennis Evans and Marcus Evans, Elywin Evans, and Tony (Rita) Evans. Two Sisters, Bobbie (William) Summers and Pam Evans. A special cousin Jackie Austin. Seven uncles, three aunts, and 20 nieces and nephews. One great Aunt Wilma Lawton of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, and a host of other relatives and friends.
