Elvin L. Monroe was born August 31, 1945 in Franklin County to Clarence and Inez Monroe (Rogers).

He became a dedicated member of Denton Baptist Church under the direction of Rev. Dr. W.G. Lacy. He served on the Deacon board for many years as well as the male choir.

He is proceeded in death by his Wife, Barbara Monroe(Stevens), Parents - Clarence and Inez Monroe (Rogers), brother Frank Earl Monroe, Sister Wilma Jean Wright and great great grandchild Myasia.

Elvin leaves to honor and cherish his memories: 2 sons: Cornelius"Martez" (Quanshateshia) Lincoln, Arlington, Tx, Frederick Monroe, Mt. Vernon, Tx, Yuloanda Deneane Monroe, Sulphur Springs, Tx, 6 grandchildren: Maurquay Monroe, Madyson Monroe, Joseph Monroe, Christian (Jazzmine) Lincoln, Amiyah Lincoln, Andre Simmons, 2 great grandchildren: Ma'Kalan Rush, Ma'Kadrian Jones, sister: Terrie Monroe Carter (Richard), Commerce Tx 1 great greatgrandchild, a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
