Erma Faye Hurndon, loving known as "Faye" was born September 24, 1956, to the late Charles

and Ruby Hurndon. She was a woman of quiet strength and devoted to her family.

Faye received her education in the Dallas Independent School District and proudly graduated

from South Oak Cliff High School in 1975. At an early age she accepted Christ as her Lord and

Savior at Mitchell Street Church of God in Christ under the leadership of the late Superintendent

E. L. Battles.

Her spiritual journey continued as she later united with Greater Harvest Church of

God in Christ, where she served under the late Bishop Frank W. Smith.

Faye was known for her strong work ethics and dedication. She devoted 30 years of service to

Catfish Smith, where she built lasting relationships and earned the respect of many. Seeking

continued growth, she later transitioned to Dallas ISD where she worked faithfully until

retirement. Her commitment and diligence left a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of

working alongside her.

Faye will be remembered for her resilience and love for her nephews; Renwick & Darius, nieces;

Latrina, Laquanta, Jamecia, Destiny and Dejanae.

Faye is preceded in death by her parents; Charles and Ruby Hurndon, sisters: Joyce Mike and

Brenda Mitchell, nephews: James Charles II & James Charles III.

Those left to cherish her memories are her brother: James Charles Hurndon (Deressia); sisters:

Emma Ruth Hurndon and Cynthia LaShun Hurndon; uncles; Deacon Leon Lawton and Mr.

Wilbert Lawton; aunts: Mother Bonnie Evans, Evangelist Mary Smith and Sister Marise Banks;

and a host of Great Nieces, Great Nephews, Cousins and Friends.
