Evelyn "Jenny" Gholston was born the daughter of the late Joseph E and Ora Lee Williams. Evelyn

departed this life on Monday, July 03, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband Elder L.C.

Gholston, both of her parents, brother Jewel "BO" Williams, sister Mary Jean Williams, and great-

grandson Ezekiel Woods.

Evelyn often called "Jenny" by her family and friends was born in Cason, Texas she attended Central

Grove School in Cason and was a life-long member of Shady Grove Christian Church where she attended

faithfully. Jenny had several hobbies that she loved. She was a wonderful cook and baker who was

famous from Texas to California for her fried pies, caramel cakes, and her amazing eye for detail when

designing wedding cakes. Jenny also had the voice of an angel and was known to sing from her soul and

stir up her gift. She was a fashion icon in her own right and loved beautiful suits and hats and owned

"Jenny's Place" a specialty boutique for years. Jenny loved her family, her friends, her church family,

making people laugh, speaking her mind, and calling and checking on her very special people daily

Naomi and other lifelong friends, her sisters Erma, Julia and her brother Thomas.

She leaves behind to cherish her precious memories, daughter Werder "Hanky" (late James "Lil Fella")

Williams of Cason Tx, son David (Carlin) Johnson of Daingerfield Tx, daughter Jackie (Patrick) Farris of

Burleson Tx, Ray Charles (Vickie) Grand Prairie and one special granddaughter her best friend Candice

Williams of Cason Tx. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great

grandchildren, her siblings Willie E. (Bennie Ruth) Williams, Erma (Richard) Rhymes, Thomas (Lois)

Williams, Julia Demerson and Vernon (JoAnn) Williams.
