Freddie Tenell Jones was born on October 21, 1953, in Winnsboro, Texas, to Johnnie Mae White and James Jones. He peacefully departed this earthly life and entered eternal rest with the Lord on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at the age of 72 in Tyler, Texas.
Freddie was a proud graduate of Winnsboro High School in Winnsboro, Texas. From an early age, he developed a strong work ethic, beginning his career in concrete work alongside his uncle, Elder. J.C. White. Over time, he built a legacy of his own by establishing Jones Concrete, dedicating over 30 years to the trade. His hands not only built foundations but also reflected a life of strength, resilience, and pride in his craft.
Freddie had a deep appreciation for working the land and understood the value of tending a garden. No matter the season of life, he remained a hardworking man who persevered through all circumstances.
He was also well known for his gift in the kitchen. Freddie had a special touch—he could grill and cook just about anything, bringing people together through his meals and his presence.
Freddie was a well-respected man. He had a stare that could stop a rhino and a smile that could brighten a dim day.
Freddie was preceded in death by his mother, Johnnie Mae White; his sister, Greta Marie; his niece, Marla Mosley; along with many beloved aunts and uncles.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories: his nephew, who was like a brother, Eugene Leaks (Kim); his uncle, Robert "Patty" White, Sr.; his children, Kevin Jones, Kimberly Jones, Donald Jones, Brittany Lewis (Ashton) , Montreal Jones, Bashawna Jones, A'Kimbry Jones, and Destani Whetstone.
Freddie was also blessed with four bonus children: Stephanie Harper, Michael Harper, Danny Boyd, and Louis Boyd
Freddie shared a loving and devoted relationship with his cherished life partner of 20 years, Threce Sharper.
He shared a lifelong friendship with Nadra Harper.
He leaves behind a legacy of love through his grandchildren: Tarik Castleberry, Tykeem Singleton, Tykie Singleton, Donea Jones, NyObie Searcy, Kailan Lewis, Arianna Lewis, Ayla Boyd and Alex Boyd , Juwan Hughes, Deago Haynes
Great grand children: Tayven Castleberry, and Easton TeNell Singleton
Along with many others whom he loved deeply.
Freddie also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.
