We bid farewell to Gerard Terran Bolton, an extraordinary husband, an affectionate and supportive parent, an amazing son, and loyal friend who departed from this world on Thursday, October 3, 2024. Gerard Bolton was a living legend who lived his life with gratitude and purpose. He had a servant heart, a contagious smile and laugh, and he could light up any room that he entered. Some would even say he was the life of the party. Gerard truly touched the hearts of all who were blessed to know him! In fact, moments with Gerard were moments that truly mattered! Surrounded by his loving family and friends in his final moments, he was still giving encouraging words to others and reminding everyone how much he loved them.

Gerard grew up in a small little town known as Bethlehem, Texas. Gerard was born to the parentage of Margie Johnson and Barry Bolton on April 26, 1981. At the age of seven, Lionel Wayne Johnson entered into his life and there another close relationship was formed.

Gerard was a proud graduate of the Union Hill Class of 1999 where he attended from middle school through high school. He was a Gilmer Buckeye from Kindergarten through sixth grade. After high school, Gerard attended Kilgore College. Since birth, Gerard has been a faithful member of Cypress Street Church of Christ, and that is where he gave his life to Christ at an early age. Gerard was a very active Brother at Cypress Street Church of Christ. He loved to lead songs during the service as well as communion. Some of his favorite hymns to lead were "A Mansion Robe and Crown" and "I'm A Hard Fighting Soldier".

Gerard first met the love of his life Felicia Duffey-Bolton while attending 7th grade at Union Hill. However, it wasn't until later on in their journey of life that they became a beautiful couple and united in Holy Matrimony on July 5, 2008. Gerard would say, "She was trying to play hard to get." Gerard and Felicia were blessed with 3 beautiful Children and 3 loving grandchildren.

Not only did Gerard love his family, he loved some sports. He was passionate about cheering on his Rugged Red Raiders and America's Team also known as the Dallas Cowboys. He was blessed with several opportunities to coach his daughter's basketball team.
