Obituary

Hattie Mae (Rivers) Rockwell was born in Morris County to the parentage of the late Birdis Charles (B.C.) Rivers and Sallie Franklin Rivers on October 17, 1932. She was a member of the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church until she married her late husband and became a member of Sheppard Street Church of Christ. She worked for Pilgrim's Pride until she reached the age of retirement. She was preceded in death by her husband Grover Rockwell Sr., parents B.C. and Sallie Rivers, two sons Vincent Key and Grover Jr Rockwell; eight sisters Luck Woodson, Essie Todd, Icclair Walker, Bonnie Robertson, Nina Williams, Inez Rivers, Truella Johnson, and Lorene Hayes. She leaves to cherish her memories seven sons Joe (Katherine) Moore, Grover Green, Alvin (Linda) Rockwell, Jacky Rockwell, Dwayne (Beverly) Rockwell, Lionel (Teresa) Rockwell, and Billy (MeShell) Rockwell; four daughters Vernest Crenshaw, Lillie Rockwell, Hattie (Darin) Craig, and Brenda (Robin) Garrett-Price; two sisters Clara Johnson and Bertha Brown; one brother-in-law Richard (Fannie) Rockwell; three sister-in-laws Dorothy Barrier, Ollie Eaton, and Dora Rockwell; Very Special niece Martha Bryson; 31 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
