James Daniel Watson Jr, age 41  who was born and raised inMt. Pleasant, was a man who never met a stranger he couldn't turn into a friend—or at least someone willing to laugh at his jokes—has taken his final bow.

James lived a life rich in stories, most of which improved slightly each time he told them. Known for his quick wit, warm heart, and uncanny ability to fix just about anything with a combination of determination and creative improvisation, he left his mark not through grand gestures, but through the countless small moments that made people feel seen, heard, and occasionally thoroughly entertained.

He had a talent for finding humor in the everyday—whether it was a long line at the grocery store, or his own attempts at "following instructions," which he often treated more like loose suggestions. His laughter was contagious, his one- liners memorable, and his presence the kind that made a room feel fuller.

James was the kind of person who showed up—sometimes early, sometimes fashionably late—but always exactly when it mattered. He loved deeply, teased relentlessly, and gave generously of his time, his stories, and his snacks (though usually the ones he liked least).

James was preceeded in death by his beloved mother,.Winnie Marie Watson , and his grandparents.

He is survived by his father James Daniel Watson, Sr. (Bobbie), brother Scotty Watson( Brittany), daughterVictoria Watson,anD sons Spencer Watson and Connor Watson. He leaves behind a collection of people including numerous nieces, nwphews, aunts,uncles, cousins, and friends who are better for having known him, who will carry forward his humor, his resilience, and his habit of telling stories that may or may not be entirely accurate.

While he may no longer be here to deliver a perfectly timed one-liner, his voice will echo in the laughter he leaves behind.

In true James fashion, he would likely prefer we skip the solemnity and instead share a good story, a hearty laugh, and maybe a slightly exaggerated tale in his honor.

He will be missed, remembered by all who loved him.
