Jewlynn Roney, age 66, spread her wings and soared home on August 5, 2025. She was born on April 15, 1959, in Mt. Pleasant, TX, to Addie Marie Pace and RC Miller, and was lovingly raised by her stepfather Milton Pace. She grew up surrounded by the close-knit love of her family and community.

Jewlynn Roney built a beautiful life woven together with family, friendships, generosity and unwavering faith. Nearly 50 years ago, she met the love of her life, Danny Roney, and together they raised four children – Delmas, Katandra, Lynesia and Tiffanee – who became the light of her life.

Her spirit was as warm as the home she created — a safe haven filled with love, laughter, and the smell of home-cooked meals. As a mother and grandmother, she gave her children and grandchildren a sense of unconditional love that will guide them for the rest of their lives. Her door and her heart were always open, making everyone feel welcome at her table.

Jewlynn leaves behind her devoted husband Danny Roney; children Delmas Roney (Gloria), Lynesia Roney, and Tiffanee LeDuff (Brandon); and her cherished grandchildren Tarmaine Elliott, Kiana Roney, Delmas Roney Jr., Jayde Hartley, Delmarius Roney, Paris Roney, Trinity Roney, Tailynn Roney, Tamir Roney, Taige Roney, Travorias Hicks, Tyshiana Hicks, Kynal Smith, Kashton Smith, Zaida Smith, Aeson LeDuff, and baby LeDuff. She is also survived by her siblings Don Jeffery, Malex Pace (Cherie), Alesia Pace, Patricia Miller-Jones (Lavell), and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, and extended family and dear friends who loved her deeply.

She is preceded in death by her parents Addie Marie Pace, RC Miller and Milton Pace, her daughter Katandra Roney, granddaughter LaDominique Roney, and siblings Linda Johnson, Jonethia Jeffery, and Glenda Darden.

Jewlynn's legacy is one of love that knew no bounds, faith that never wavered, and family ties that will remain unbroken for generations.
