Keelyn Lee, Sr. 39, passed away unexpectedly on May 24th, 2023 in Morris county. He was born August 6th, 1983, in Pittsburg TX. Keelyn was the son of Paula Lee and Jerry Woods. During his youth Keelyn joined Faith Temple COGIC, his church home. Keelyn was apart of the Daingerfield High School class of 2001. Altough, he did not graduate with the class he later received his GED. After his high school years Keelyn faced many adversities, but glory to God in 2018 he was able to start his career as a laborer. Over the past 5yrs he was employed with Taskmasters Components and Nucor Steel (Delta). Johnny Stack Mill was his current employer.
In the year of 2000 Keelyn met Catrice Boyd who would later become his wife on November 18th, 2018. During the 22yrs together they were blessed with 3 children, Kamryn, Cailyn, and Keelyn Lee Jr. Keelyn loved his wife and made sure everyone knew it. Keelyn often joked that if Catrice ever left him the state of TX allows 7 marriages and he would use his last 5 marriages to marry her over and over if he had to.
In 2011 Keelyn welcomed a son with Seferina Johnson, Tre'Kevian Lee.
Keelyn was loved by his community due to his willingness to always lend a helping hand. He loved making jokes and giving his friends/family a hard time. There was never a dull moment when he was around. Keelyn loved fishing in his spare time. Whenever he had extra money he would take Kamryn and Cailyn on a shopping spree at the mall. He also enjoyed challenging Tre in a video game or discussing football. You could often find Keelyn being a daddy T-Rex to his baby T-rex, KJ. Keelyn refereed to KJ as his best friend because he felt KJ understood him. He had a special bond with his mother and sister, there was always good times and love when they were with each other. Although, Keelyn was the oldest, Terry played the part of the "little big brother", making sure Keelyn was always covered.
Keelyn was proceeded in death by his grandparents, aunts, uncles, and brother Jeffery Lee. Keelyn had a special bond with his late grandmother Vanilla Lee.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Catrice Boyd of Daingerfield, TX. Mother Paula Lee of Daingerfield, TX. Father Jerry Woods of Henderson, TX. Pops James Charles Hill of Omaha, TX. Daughters Kamryn and Cailyn Lee of Daingerfield, TX. Sons Tre'Kevian Lee of Hughes Springs, TX. Keelyn Lee Jr. of Daingerfield, TX. Brother Terry Smith of Dallas, TX. Sister Jameshia (Glenn Birdine JR) Lee-Hill of Daingerfield, TX. Siblings- Jervar (Keshia) Henderson , Reanisha Woods, Alexis Russell, Branden Woods, Cristian Woods, and Brittany Robertson. Special Guardian Lee Roy Mack of Atlanta, TX. Keelyn also leaves to cherish 3 nieces, a host of Aunts, Uncles, "The Boys", "The girls", friends, and relatives.
