Latoya Michelle
Smith
Jan 10, 1983 — Dec 17, 2022
Ms. Latoya Michelle Smith was born on the 10th day of January 1983, in Paris, Texas, to the parentage of the Late Wanda Katheryne Hearn-Smith and Mickey Littleton.
Ms. Latoya grew up and was raised in Cooper, Texas where she received her education at Cooper High School. Upon graduating high school in 2001, she began her career at Sure Start Warehouse in Cooper, Texas, where she repaired and rebuilt alternators. After the warehouse was bought out, she worked for Morning Start Distribution in Sulphur Springs, TX. She also worked as a Home Health Aide for her late mother for over 10 years through Cooper Home Health and for Burger King in Sulphur Springs, TX until her health failed.
In 2005, God blessed Latoya with a handsome bundle of joy, her one and only son, Jaden Fuentes. Jaden was her pride and joy. In 2009, she met the love of her life, her companion of 14 years, Mr. William Turner. Down through the years, they shared many precious memories.
August 29, 2021, she united with the Love Tabernacle Church in Paris, TX under the leadership of her brother and Pastor, Tristan Love. She was a faithful member and served on the usher board. Latoya, alongside her companion Mr. William Turner, worked as the general contractors for remodeling of Love Tabernacle Church. Love Tabernacle Church would not be what it is today, had it not been for the hard work and dedication of Latoya and William Turner. Latoya was baptized in Jesus' name according to the scripture, Acts 2:38 on October 11, 2022. She also confessed Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. Latoya had a heart of Gold and would do anything she could, to help and encourage others.
Latoya is preceded in death by her parents: Wand K. Hearn-Smith and Mickey Littleton, two brothers, Andre Smith, and MacArthur Jernigan, and one sister Shavonda Hearn. She leaves to cherish her memories, her loving son, Jaden Fuentes, her companion Mr. William Turner; 1 sister, Gina Titus; 2 brothers, Andrew Smith, and Pastor Tristan Love; nephews, Terrance Titus, Andre' Smith, Antoine Smith and Azayvan Tiscornia; and a host of family members and longtime friends.
