Celebration of The Life and Legacy of Lawanda Thae Glasper

On October 17, 1954, Lawanda Lincoln was born in Gladewater, TX to Tom Andrew Lincoln, Sr., and Mae Lorine Wady. At a very young age, Grandmother Lila Mae Stevenson nurtured, groomed, and instilled an unconditional love that would later be seen in her legacy of life. During her childhood she attended Rising Star Church of God in Christ where she was baptized and begin singing in the church choir. Lawanda attended Gladewater ISD schools where she participated in the band.

At the age of 18, Wanda met the "Special Love" of her life, Rick. Richard Lee Glasper and Lawanda Thae Lincoln would be joined together in Holy Matrimony on May 18, 1973. This bond of forty-four years would be inseparable even unto death. In this Union, there was four beloved children where the rod was not spared and presence of God dwelled.

Growing up in Gladewater, TX, Wanda was always surrounded by the love of her family and friends. It would be the "Church" that would shape and define who she truly was in life. On her way to the Gates of Heaven, she would attend the following churches: Rising Star Church of C.O.G.I.C. (Church of God in Christ). Miracle Tabernacle, and B.T.M. (Bible Teaching Ministries). Lawanda was devoted to serving Him with a mind, heart and soul that said, "Yes" every day. She graced many with her anointed high-pitched soprano pitch that made Heaven smile.

Her purpose was complete on February 22, 2023. Wanda's work ended here on Earth while God called her higher. From Heaven (and now in that secret place), she leaves behind cherished memories of smiles and laughter to a host of her beloved family and friends that she loved so much.
