Maggie Lou (Sanders) Traylor was born on June 17, 1937, in Cason, Texas to Montique and Mattie Sanders. She resided in Mount Pleasant, Texas for a total of seventy-three years. Maggie completed her education at Booker T Washington High School and graduated from there. She was married to Joe Traylor for sixty-six years until his passing. Together, they had seven children. Sadly, Maggie was preceded in death by her husband Joe Traylor, her mother Mattie Sanders, her father Montique Sanders, her sons Authur Ray Traylor and Troy C. Traylor, and her daughter Freda Hurndon Allen. Her siblings Robert Grant, Rufus Roney, Lonzel Roney, Raymond Sanders, her sisters Juanita Chism, Anna Barrett, and Bobbie Hines. Maggie worked for Lone Star Steel and as Bus Driver for MPISD.

In her leisure time, she found joy in reading her bible and enjoyed visiting her brother in California and her cousins in Arizona. Her favorite saying was "I am trying to see the Lord Baby."

She would start her day by calling Karen to make sure she was doing well, then she was in the kitchen preparing breakfast for her great grandson Tyson Rogers and his father Tyrone Rogers. After that, she would make a phone call to her other grandson Shelton Allen to see how he was doing.

She and her niece Beverly Grundy were constantly on the move, exploring various destinations and purchasing cars with equal enthusiasm. They shared an unbreakable bond, resembling two peas in a pod. Vicki Chism was her go-to person for suits and hats, while Joyce Hines was the one she relied on every Friday.

Maggie had a passion for cooking, she made the best sweet potato pies, chicken and dressing, and various other dishes.

Maggie dedicated her life to Christ during her early years. She selflessly served in the church kitchen and any other area where her assistance was required. Maggie's love for the Lord was genuine and wholehearted. She possessed immense wisdom and willingly imparted it to those around her. Eventually, she became one of the esteemed mothers of the First Church of God in Christ until her heavenly calling. Maggie exemplified a devout and reverent woman of God. In addition to being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great- great grandmother, bonus mom, aunt, and a cherished friend, she left an indelible mark on the lives she touched.

She is survived by her two daughters, Karen Rogers from Mt. Pleasant, Tx and Chrissandra Traylor Guinn from Forney, Tx. Additionally, her two sons, Ricky Traylor (Zeferina) from Houston, Tx, and Stephen Traylor (Thenesha) from Waxahachie, Tx. She is also remembered by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Her favorite cousin, Betty Edwards, and her best friend, Linda Lewis, will always hold a special place in her heart.
