Mark Wesley Fountain Sr., lovingly known as Shaggy Wolf, was born September 30, 1959,

in Mt. Vernon, Tx. to Milton Fountain and Billie Ruth Dunlap Fountain.

He attended School in Mt. Vernon, Tx, where he was known as a great athlete. After high

school Mark began driving trucks, and worked for AMPI Milk company in Sulphur Springs,

Tx. He later worked at Winnsboro Nursing home for many years. Mark loved fishing and

racing cars, but his true passion was fixing vehicles. He was the kind of mechanic everyone

trusted and taught his kids how to work on vehicles themselves. Mark also enjoyed

spending time at the lake, cooking out for family and friends. and making soup that his

children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren loved. His heart was with his family, and

they cherished every moment with him.

Mark entered eternal rest on Tuesday April 29,2025 in Sulphur Springs, Tx. He was

preceded in death by Milton Fountain(father), Billie Ruth Dunlap Fountain(mother), Elmer

Dunlap(brother), John Waye Fountain(brother), Pearly Ruth Fountain(sister). The mothers

of his children Charlotte Evans and Brenda Lee. A granddaughter Riverlyn Lee, and a great-

grandson Kamari Johnson.

Mark Sr. leaves behind a legacy of love and memories, He is survived by his children

Jr. (Shirley) of Mt. Vernon, Tx, Latasha Fountain of Mt. Vernon, Derek Lee (Robyn) of

Greenville, Tx, Brittney Lee of Rowlett, Tx. Lexy Fountain( KeDarius ) of Houston, 20

grandchildren 5 Great grandchildren, his siblings and a host of

nieces,nephews,uncles,aunties,and friends.
