Marvin Lee Dunlap, 83, died May 5, 2018 at Pittsburg Nursing in Pittsburg, Texas, after a short illness.
Mr. Dunlap was born on February 24, 1935 in Mt. Vernon, Texas to late Allie Mae Hargraves and Perry Dunlap. He attended public school in Mt. Vernon, Texas. He was a successful butcher and dairy man. At an early age he professed his faith in Jesus Christ and joined Denton Baptist Church where he was a member upon his death. As a result of his generous spirit and pleasant personality, he was loved by many. His Christian life was beautiful and his influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew him.
He married Annie Lee Fountain and they raised 2 children.
He is survived by his wife, 2 children, 3 sisters and 2 brothers, several step-brothers and step-sisters, several nieces and nephews, grandchildren, aunts and uncles, cousins, and many friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, father, several brother and sisters, and step-brothers and step-sisters.
Mr. Dunlap was heavily involved in the local and other communities spreading the word about God and helping feed many with food from the local stores especially fried chicken.
His family paid this tribute to him, 'Marvin "Butch" was one of the kindest people you could ever meet, he opened his heart to many people over the years and he will be sorely missed.'
