Melodie Renae Lynn was born September 15,1978 in Mt. Pleasant, TX to Sally and Harvis

Lynn. She was a loving daughter, sister and mother. God called her home to glory on July 29,

2025 surrounded by the love of her children Alivia, Ariel and Quanandre.

Melodie loved singing, movies, babies and spending time with her children. She was always

social around friends and family and loved being the life of the party. Melodie has always been a

free spirit with a big heart. Family meant the world to her and she never hesitated to help

anyone in need. She was admired for her bright personality, her beautiful smile, her laughter,

her drive in providing for her family and her ability to always make a way out of no way.

Melodie was and will always be known affectionately as "Dodie" or "Dodirene" to family. She

was always outgoing and never met a stranger, so she had a lot of friends throughout middle

school at TW Browne and high school at A. Maceo Smith. As a kid, Melodie spent a lot of time

playing outside with her sister Valerie; making mud pies and playing with dolls. She also loved

spending time with her grandparents and playing with cousins.

Melodie always wore her heart on her sleeves and was sensitive about those she loved and the

things she cared about; however, that never stopped her from fighting back. Melodie may have

been on the short side, but she was a firecracker and a force to be reckoned with especially

when she went on to have a family of her own. She became a mother of 3 beautiful children

Alivia, Ariel, and Quanandre. They meant the world to her and she took pride in their

accomplishments. Living for them is what kept her going even in her darkest moments.

Melodie was preceded in death by her father Harvis Lynn and her grandparents.

Those left to cherish and share her precious and loving memories: daughters Alivia Nichole

Marshall and Ariel Renae Marshall; son Quanandre Demond Marshall II; mother Sally Ann

Brown (Eugene Brown); sister Valerie Denise Maxwell; brother Jamaal Henry Lynn (Jasmine

Andrus-Lynn) and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
