Melvin (Mel) Thoman was born November 6, 1929 in Elizabeth, Louisiana. He died August 7, 2020 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas, at 90 years of age. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Gloria Thoman, as well as his six children Michael, Steven, Nathan, Mell, Linda and Keith. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mel was an ordained minister of Jehovah's Witnesses for over 60 years, serving others in congregations located in Ohio, Connecticut, Illinois and Texas. His enthusiasm for helping others to learn and appreciate the Bible will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
