Obituary

Missionary Toni Renee Hawkins was born September 10th, 1968 in Phoenix, Arizona to Myrtle

Coulter. She departed from this life August 10th, 2024 in Longview, Texas.

Missionary Toni Hawkins was saved, sanctified, and filled with the holy spirit at a young age.

She remained faithful in her worship to God for the remainder of her life. She oversaw a

multitude of church functions, including youth ministry, choir, and bookkeeping. She was a

missionary and wife of Elder Alvin Hawkins at Greater Faith COGIC until she was called home.

Toni enjoyed sewing, cooking, and doing fun activities with her grands with worship music in the

background. She loved to sing praises to the Lord during times of trials and tribulations. She

was also a lifelong scholar and generous fountain of knowledge. After graduating from Nashville

High school in 1989, she received a Bachelors in Management from Henderson State

University, a Masters in Accounting, and a Masters in Management from Colorado Tech.

While at Henderson, Toni met the love of her life, Alvin Hawkins. Together they enjoyed singing

in the school choir and tutoring fellow students. They were later engaged atop a popular bridge

overlooking a scenic campus trail and became one at True Deliverance Church of Nashville AR

in December 1990.

Toni had many passions throughout her life, but her chief focus was being a follower of the King.

She poured into her family as a wife, a mother, and beloved "Oma" to her 4 grandchildren. She

had a gift for molding young minds through tutoring and mentorship which led her to co-found a

firm dedicated to this with her husband ,ATHGinservices.

She was preceded in death by her Mother Myrtle Coulter, brother George Coulter, and

grandmother Daisy Alexander.

Toni Hawkins leaves a cherished legacy to her loving and devoted husband of 33 years, Elder

Alvin Hawkins of Longview ; 4 children: Steven Hawkins (Kartia) of Houston , Ana-Michelle

Barnard (Terry) of Longview, Isaiah Hawkins of Longview, and Naomi-Shari Hawkins of

Longview ; 4 grandchildren: Aurora, Athena, Titus, and Tobias Barnard ; as well as many

brothers and sisters-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to go to St. Jude children's hospital in

Toni's honor.
