Raymond Rhymes was born January 2, 1936 to Joshua and Estella Rhymes. He attended Living Greene School until he transferred to Douglas High School. Raymond moved with his grandfather and later to Ft. Worth, TX. He worked at Harris Hospital until he retired and moved back home to Pittsburg, TX. Raymond was well known around town cause he loved to walk until his health failed. Raymond is survived by his sister, Bettie (BT) of Pittsburg, TX; brother Charles Rhymes (Brenda) of St. Louis, Mo. Nieces Carolyn Eqbyjonuma of Dallas, TX, Vickie Rhymes (KP) of Pittsburg, TX, Vivian Isome of California, Dorothy Watson of Charleston, S.C., Beverly Rhymes of Gilmer, TX; nephews Charles Rhymes Jr. of St. Louis, MO., Wayne Rhymes of Pittsburg, TX; great-nieces Dreka, Dee, Retta of Dallas, TX, Latisia, Drea, Laila of Pittsburg, TX, Donkeita Evans of S. Greenville, Shatobeca Rhymes of Pine Bluff, AR, DeAundrea and Verika of San Antonio, TX.; and ten great-great nieces and eight great-great nephews. Raymond is preceded in death by his mother and father Joshua and Estella; brothers Willie James and Cleo Rhymes; two sisters; nephew Howard and niece Charlotte.
