Retha Carol Walker was born on March 27, 1959, to Mary L. Pritchett and Bernard C. Wilson. She was raised with strong values of faith, family, and perseverance that guided her throughout her life. At an early age, Retha was baptized at Faith Temple Church of God in Christ, beginning a lifelong journey of faith and devotion to God. Her love for worship and music later led her to become a member of the Gospel True Lites singing group in Wichita, Kansas, where she faithfully shared her gift of song.

Retha graduated from H. Grady Spruce High School in 1977. Following high school, she began a dedicated career with Cessna Aircraft, where she worked diligently and rose to the position of crew chief. She remained committed to her work until her retirement, earning the respect of colleagues and friends alike. Retha was united in marriage to Dennis Walker, building a life centered on love and family. She was a devoted mother to Dennis K. White (Leslie) and Vaniesha S. Richardson. Her family continued to grow with the blessing of 12 grandchildren, who were among her greatest joys.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary L. Pritchett and Bernard C. Wilson.

Retha leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Dennis Walker; her children and grandchildren; and her siblings: Janice Hamilton (Lesley), Andrea Perry (Fredrick), Bobby Wilson Sr. (Anetha), Burnadette Hamilton (Ezekeil), Aretha Baker, Terrie Wilson, Barbara Parks, Shundra Wilson, and Robert Montgomery (Mellissa), along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Retha's life was a beautiful testimony of faith, strength, dedication, and love. Her legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
