Rex Luther Dunlap was born in Mount Vernon Texas, August 14,1943. He is the son of Luther and Macie Dunlap. He also attended the Denton Elementary and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School.

At an early age, he joined in a relationship with Arnell Barrett, they had one child Tyrus K. Dunlap. He spent 24 years working for TUGCO Mining Company. After he retired, he spent the rest of his time trying to Boss everyone around that came around, talking smack, buying junk that meant nothing to us but the world to him. He was a fixer upper without the fix. He also enjoyed watching his garden grow and riding around town with his arm hanging out the window.

Rex is also proceeded in death by his parents Luther and Macie, Arnell Barrett, brother William Dunlap and sisters Ruthie Mae, Margrett and Marie.

He leaves to cherish his memories, son Tyrus Dunlap, brother Paul (Lousie) Dunlap, nephews Lamar (Macksene) Monroe, Thaddeous Monroe, stepdaughter and son Rena and Anthony Barrett. And a host of relatives and friends.
