Ruthie Jean (Dean) Jeffery was born in Mount Pleasant, Texas on August 6, 1950, to Clarence Farrier and Ollie M. Williams. God called her home on Sunday, January 12, 2025, in Tyler, Texas.

She graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1968. After graduation, she married Milton Cummings and to that union, one child was born (Stacy Cummings). Later in life, she married Jimmy D. Jeffery.

Ruthie was employed by Brookshire's grocery store; she retired after 25 years of employment. She was a member of Sunset Baptist Church and later in life she joined First Church of God in Christ in Mount Pleasant, Texas.

Ruthie was preceded in death by her husband Jimmy D. Jeffery, mother, Ollie M. Williams, father, Clarence Farrier, stepfather James P. Williams, a daughter, Yasmine Elaine Jeffery, a special niece, Stephanie Rochelle Farrier, a brother, Billy R. Farrier, and a grandmother, Carrie Boatman.

Ruthie leaves to cherish her memories a son, Stacy Cummings, a grandson, JaQuavion Cummings, a sister, Dorothy Edney, special friends, Ruthie Neal Jeffery and Milton Cummings, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
