Sharon Kemp Covington was born June 9th, 1955 to the parentage of James and Christine Kemp. She was educated in Dallas School District. She was a proud graduate of South Oak Cliff High School were she participated in Track, Drill Team and the Band.
Sharon was a stylish beautiful soul who shined brightly. She was artsy and very creative. She took this talent and gained her licensure in Cosmetology. This milestone allowed Sharon an opportunity to shine even brighter by making women feel beautiful by styling their hair. Sharon's gift of doing hair afforded her the opportunity to peak into a great business- woman which lead to her opening her own hair salons. Sharon resided in Topeka, Kansas where she opened and owned her hair salon. She was well known throughout the community for headlining charitable events and community outreach projects where she used her talents to do young girls and ladies hair pro-bono.
Sharon moved to Jefferson, Texas where she allowed her talent to further shine by opening another salon and again serving the community once more with her great talents. While residing in Jefferson, Sharon was well known through-out her church community and her residential community. She was well loved by her both communities and she cherished them both.
Until her failing health, Sharon remained involved in her church and her community. She loved helping others and giving her time. Sharon also loved her family. She was the life of the party and adored by all.
Sharon's memories are treasured by her siblings Margaret Ann Holman, James Garfield Kemp (wife Fairy),Rebecca Willis (Husband Herbert), Johnny Kemp (Wife Brenda) and Janice Kemp along with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins that loved her dearly. Her parents James and Christine Kemp along with sibling Phillip Kemp preceded her in death.
