Supervisor Joyce L. Washington
Joyce was born on October 30, 1955, and completed her earthly journey on June 29, 2025. Her life was truly a testament to faith, love, and service, cherished deeply by all who were blessed to know her. The eldest daughter of the late Bishop C.L. Bryant and Mother Alvary Bryant, she was reared from an early age to be a leader and stand for the principles of faith.
Supervisor Washington, lived a life filled with devotion and genuine care for those around her. A graduate of George Washington High, her life was marked by her passion for impacting lives for the greater, a Sr Claims Analyst by trade she climbed the corporate, merging her kingdom assignment with marketplace experience. She served 2 terms as President of the Claims Adjusters Association, implementing and developing industry procedures that would be used as a measurement for future oversight/audit practices.
She was preceded in death by her beloved father, the late Bishop C.L. Bryant, whose spiritual legacy continues to inspire the family and community. Those who remain to cherish Joyce's memory include her devoted husband, Deacon Patrick L. Washington. Her presence will be profoundly missed by her mother, Mother Alvary Bryant, whose nurturing spirit has profoundly shaped the family's faith journey.
Joyce's legacy of faith, love, and perseverance lives on in her two sons, Pastor Jermain Washington and Elder Rashaad Washington. Her sisters, Evangelists Vera Bryant and Angela Bryant, shared not only familial bonds but also a common dedication to their faith and ministry. The circle of love extends to her cherished grandson, Carlon D. Lacy Washington, niece C'alecia R. Smith (Terrell), her nephews Minister Tyrell Edmonds, Minister Melvin Brown II, and Elder Jakari Bryant Edmonds (TaRyn). A host of great nieces, nephews and well wishers who will forever hold her close in their hearts, passing on the inspiration she instilled in them.
