Tara Patrice White was born on August 22, 1972, to Vicki C. White & Horace E. Borders, in Lawton, Oklahoma. She departed this life on August 22, 2024.

She attended Lawton public schools until moving to Dallas, TX, in 1979. Tara attended Dan. D. Rogers Elementary School, Lake Highland Junior High School, and Bryan Admas Senior High School. After graduating, she continued her education at West Stark Jr. College before transferring to Langston University in Langston, Oklahoma. The University recognized Tara for outstanding academic performance by naming her on the dean's honor roll list. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Health, Physical Education and Recreation (HPER) degree in 2006 from Langston University.

Tara coached basketball at Langston University and later worked for Coca-Cola for several years until her health deteriorated.

Tara was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Horace Sr. & Fayrine Borders, and maternal grandfather, Pastor J.C. White.

She will forever be in the hearts of her son; Jayden Johnson, who was the love of her life; her Mother, Father, Brothers; Horace E. Borders, III & DeMarcus J. Borders, Sisters; LaTosha Thompson and Nekeia R. Borders, Grandmother; Cloma Robbins, Step-grandmother; Mae Lois White, Great Uncle, Great Aunt, Uncles, Aunts, Cousins and a host of friends, and special friend Latrina Harvey.
